📣 The extensions of Line14 in Paris, using Alstom’s new-generation MP14 metros, have been officially inaugurated! These innovative trains now provide a 40-minute link between Saint-Denis - Pleyel and Orly Airport, and a reduction in energy consumption of almost 20%. We’re happy to announce that we’ve signed a €323 million contract with Mercitalia Rail, of Polo Logistica FS, to supply 70 #Traxx Universal locomotives with maintenance services. Even more Flexity trams are coming to the streets of Zurich! 😍 swipe for more! VBZ (Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich)’s new order will increase the number of trams in the city to 122 by Spring 2028. These new Flexity trams not only improve general driving comfort, but also safety in the city centre with the use of ODAS (Obstacle Detection Assistance System), which supports tram drivers in detecting obstacles along the tracks. #Trams #Switzerland #Safety

We had many firsts onsite including Francis’ first ride on a traverser, a nifty piece of equipment that moves trains from side to side, and a first ride on our London Northwestern Railway Class 730 Aventra train.
