  • Modernisation of Beni Suef Assyut mainline signalling systems

    Through Alstom's state-of-the-art signalling technology, the trains running on this line will be able to reach top speeds of 160 km/h over a 250 km stretch with 15 stops. This 24-hour service, with a capacity of transporting up to 60,000 passengers every day, is an essential transportation network for individuals across Egypt.

  • Cairo Innovia monorail system

    Cairo Innovia monorail system

    The monorail project is designed to improve the mobility services for the people of Egypt while reducing traffic congestion and environmental impact. Using the Innovia 300 monorail system allows high-capacity lines to be built faster and at a lower cost. With the two new Cairo lines, capacity will be increased to transport 45,000 passengers per hour, per direction. This leading-edge project features high reliability, flexible operation, shorter headways between trains, improved safety, and lower maintenance costs.

  • Construction of Cairo Metro Line 3

    Alstom has played a key role in the enhancement of Line 3 with its advanced Urbalis signalling system, which has assisted operators in reducing commuter congestion. Continuously developed and refined, this system enables urban operators to maximise their performance and capacity while supporting their operational requirements through its standard control and supervision features. Thanks to Alstom's cutting-edge signalling solution, the entire Cairo Metro Line 3 can now operate at speeds of up to 80 km/h, covering over 39 stations, 43 km distance, with the ultimate capacity of transporting 60,000 passengers per hour in each direction. This line, serving and transporting Egyptian citizens, operates for 19 hours daily.
