Welcome to the Alstom Raildagen!

After last year's success, Alstom will again open its doors on September 20 & 21 2024 from 10:00 – 16:00, to the general public, customers, suppliers, press, employees, family, and students to explore the world of the rail industry - this time at our location in Utrecht. Nothing is more important than safety! That is why this year's theme is: Railway Signalling.

Step aboard for a journey through the past, present, and future surrounding all technologies that ensure safe railways.

To give you a preview, we have listed a few highlights of the event:

  • On Friday, September 20, 2024, there will be an official opening of the new test lab at 11:00! The lab consists of multiple test setups, enabling us to simulate various routes in the Netherlands, such as the Betuweroute, Hanzelijn, and Amsterdam-Utrecht line.
  • Meet our experts as they present their processes and work interactively. Want more information? Check the programme below. 
  • Experience a railway signalling simulator.
  • Fun activities for children, including a scavenger hunt and a balloon artist.

The Raildagen at Alstom offers an engaging mix of exhibitions, interactive presentations, and demonstrations. Whether you are a train enthusiast, an expert in railway technology, interested in innovative signalling solutions, or just looking for a fun day out, everyone is welcome!

To ensure a smooth journey to the Raildagen, we offer the following directions:

Alstom Utrecht

  • Our location is easily accessible by public transport. From Utrecht Central Station, you can take four bus lines (65, 74, 77, and 85), which will bring you to our location within 11 minutes. Get off at the 'Europaplein-Noord' stop, and from there, our building is already visible and just a few minutes' walk away.

  • Alstom Utrecht is also easily accessible by car, as the building is just a few minutes from the A12. Take exit 17 and follow the signs towards Jaarbeurs, Kanaleneiland. The location is just before the first roundabout after the exit and is identifiable by the Alstom logo.

    • Friday, September 20th: Unfortunately, our parking garage will not be available on Friday. However, from 11:00 AM, you can park for free in the surrounding streets or at P+R Westraven for a fee of €7. From P+R Westraven, you can easily travel to our location with bus lines 34, 65, or 77. Get off at the 'Europaplein' stop.
    • Saturday, September 21st: On Saturday, you can park your vehicle in our parking garage, which is located directly next to our office.
    • Limited Mobility: Between the building and the parking garage, there are some disabled parking spaces available. If you wish to use these, please send an email to: fabienne.oskam@alstomgroup.com.
