24 July 2024 –  Alstom, a global leader in green and smart mobility solutions, has furthered its investments in Türkiye by acquiring Duray Ulasim Sistemleri in Bursa.

The new Advanced Industrial Center, which has already commenced operations with over 200 employees, will produce mission critical rail transport components.

Kerem Bugay, Managing Director of Alstom Türkiye, stated, "Building on a 70 year partnership, as a trusted rail solutions, we continue to invest in our country, our industry, and our people. In 2023, we initiated our long-term investment plan in the country  by establishing the Alstom Türkiye Engineering and Technology Centre. Today, with our new Advanced Industrial Center in Bursa, we reaffirm our commitment to Türkiye and our determination to contribute to the country's modern rail system goals. With a legacy of delivering to major European rail projects, Bursa will be adaptable in the future and prepared to expand operations in alignment with the requirements and expectations of the Government and our local partners.”

Nazlı Zengin, the Site’s Managing Director, added, "It is a great pride for us to contribute to Alstom's projects by establishing Türkiye as a component production hub with this new investment. In the coming period, we aim to gradually expand our factory, doubling our industrial capacity and workforce."

This new Alstom factory in Bursa represents a major milestone, underscoring Alstom's commitment to advancing sustainable mobility and contributing to the development of Türkiye’s railway infrastructure. Through this investment, we are not only enhancing the country's railway capabilities but also fostering the growth of local talent.
