3 June 2024 Alstom, global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, has appointed Beata Rusinowicz as the Country Managing Director for Poland, Ukraine, and the Baltic States. Beata will lead Alstom’s operations in these countries, overseeing the establishment and execution of strategic goals in Rolling Stock, Signalling, and Services activities, in line with the global long-term strategy. As Poland continues to be one of the fastest-growing markets in the region, Beata will play a key role in the further integration of Alstom in Poland, which now operates as a single company with branches in Warsaw, Chorzów, Katowice, and Wrocław.

Before her appointment, Beata Rusinowicz has been Financial Director for Poland, Ukraine and the Baltic States, and from 2021 she was also a Member of the Management Board of Alstom Polska. In recent years, she managed key local and international projects for Alstom, which involved many business units and functions, such as financial, legal, operations, procurement, tenders, and commercial ones.

She joined the company in 2000 in the project management team, where she was responsible for tram projects for Polish clients, including municipal enterprises in Warsaw and Szczecin. As the production competences of Alstom in Poland were developing, Beata was responsible for the transfer of the technology for producing railway rolling stock components. In the following years, she gained extensive managerial experience in various positions in Poland (​​bidding, tender documentation, accounting, financial analysis and controlling), as well as at the Alstom unit in La Rochelle in France where she cooperated with international team in ​​tram projects.

Alstom has operated in Poland for over 25 years, and is now the country’s largest exporter and employer in the railway sector. Due to many years of experience of its management staff, Alstom has a significant impact on the development and innovation of the entire sector, and actively participates in many industry organisations; including the Polish Railway Chamber, where Artur Fryczkowski, the Vice-President and Commercial Director of Alstom Polska, is a member of the of the Supervisory Board, and the European Hydrogen Institute, where he is a member of the Science Advisory Board. Alstom will continue to be an active participant in the dialogue of public and private organisations which drive the development of transport in Poland.
