Jyrki Tiira appointed Operations Manager for the Power Compensation Products business unit at ALSTOM Grid Oy

Jyrki Tiira has been appointed Operations Manager for the Power Compensation Products business unit at ALSTOM Grid Oy, effective August 31st, 2015. Jyrki will be responsible for the operations of the unit: production, logistics, maintenance, engineering and projects. He will join the units management team and report in his position to the Unit Managing Director Timo Ala-Heikkilä.

The Power Compensation Products business unit engineers and manufactures products for reactive power compensation and harmonic filtering at Alstom Grids Tampere factory.

Jyrki has a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in mechanical engineering from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences and additionally an MBA from Swansea Business School.
He worked before as Production Director for Ata Gears Ltd. and during his career he has held different management positions e.g. at TTT Technology Ltd. and Siegwerk Finland Oy.
