In March, we will open the first production line dedicated to tramways in Latin America. The new unit, located in Taubaté, was built in eight months and a half and is the direct result of the work of a team that acted and will continue to act with a lot of synergy and team spirit.

In the next few weeks, you will get to know some of the characters of this story that is just beginning. Today, we introduce you to Daniela Waissmann, in charge of financial control and planning at the new plant.

Ive been working at Alstom for nearly four years and, when I joined the company, I worked at the Hydro business as project planner. In January last year, I was invited to work on the new tramway plant, in charge of financial control and planning. I was very happy and felt honored for the trust deposited in my work, as I would have the challenge of delivering the plant within the deadline and costs established.

During the construction period, my greatest challenge was to manage the delivery term. It were eight months and a half from ground leveling until the conclusion of the building, and I can say that it was a period of great learning, not only technical as I had the opportunity to learn a little bit about the process of implementing a production line but also interpersonal, as I started to have contact with areas I did not work with before and could also see up close how the work of a team is key for success.

Today, seeing the plant almost ready for operation, I am very proud of having been a part of the entire process, and cannot wait to also witness the manufacture of the first tramways. I am sure that this is just the beginning of another successful story.
