Alstom has signed a contract with Lulekraft, worth over 3 million (approximately 30 million SEK), for the delivery and installation of a new generator stator, with the latest technology (adapted to the rotor Alstom delivered to Lulekraft in 2012) and magnetising equipment. The stator will be ready for delivery in August 2015.
We chose Alstom because of the company's well proven equipment and innovative technology, as well as their record of reliable delivery, says Linus Alström, Technical Manager at Lulekraft.
We are proud that Lulekraft has given us renewed trust to make the combined power and heating plant more efficient. The project supports our strategy of offering customers complete service and installation solutions to ensure reliable operation and optimised efficiency, says Mats Andersson, CEO Alstom Power Sweden AB.
The new stator will be manufactured in Alstom's factory in Wroclaw, Poland. Design work, project management, installation and commissioning will be performed by Alstom in Västerås, Sweden. The stator weighs approximately 110 tons and will be transported by train, ship and trailer before being lifted into place through the roof of the plant. New coolers that fit the existing housings at Lulekraft and components for new instrumentation will be delivered as supplementary components for the stator. About 15 people will be involved in installation and commissioning, which is scheduled for August 2016.
Alstom Sweden has previous experience of more than 100 similar deliveries of this generator type.
