On April 23, Alstom Transport signed a framework co-operation agreement with the Moscow State Transport University (MIIT). This agreement covers both training of specialists and academic and teaching staff of the highest qualification and conduct of research. Co-operation of this kind is always mutually beneficial: students get a chance to undertake an internship with the company, whereas the company, in its turn, gets access to a pool of young specialists and may tailor them to its needs.
The agreement was signed at the conference of universities of the Russian Federation and France titled Modern trends of railway education in the Russian Federation and France in the context of educational internationalization held on April 23-24 in the main building of MIIT. The conference gathered more than 100 participants. Reporters included Aide to the President of the Russian Federation Igor Levitin,
Frédéric Mondoloni, First Diplomatic Advisor with the Frances Embassy to Russia, Deputy Director for Economic and International Affairs of the French Ministry of Transport Hervé Boisguillaume who touched upon the matters of railway education in Russia and France in the context of educational internationalization. Reports of Russian and French professors of transport higher educational institutions aroused much interest; they provided a review of relations between transport higher educational institutions and employers (enterprises of railway transport in Russia and France) in the course of the training process and their participation in national research. Representative of Alstom Transport (France) Eric Ribeyre also delivered speech at the conference titled Alstom Training solutions.
Let us remind you that MIIT is the largest transport higher educational institution in Europe and one of the oldest technical institutes in Russia (established in 1896).
