The Office of the Secretary of Defense, Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, recognizes Geissbuehler and Alstom as a patriotic employer “for contributing to national security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employee participation in America’s National Guard and Reserve Force.” Geissbuehler comments; "I value the strong partnerships we have built at the federal level, and I am proud that Alstom is being recognized. We appreciate the contributions and skill sets of our veterans and military service members".
Jefferson Jones, counsel and contract manager Alstom Renewable Power - Wind, North America, nominated Alstom for the award following a recent period of active duty naval service. As a Commander in the U.S. Navy JAG Corps Reserve, Jones is currently assigned as legislative counsel to the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations, Fleet Readiness and Logistics, at the Pentagon. He added; “It is never easy for an organization to lose an employee for several weeks on short notice, but Andy and our Richmond team could not have been more accommodating and supportive".
