Alstom, as member of the Società di Progetto Metro 5 consortium supplied the infrastructure, including the electric supply systems, electrical substations, traction systems, intrusion and fire detection systems, and the platform screen doors to ensure passengers safety. Two Alstom plants in Italy, Guidonia (Rome) and Sesto San Giovanni (MI), are involved in the project, providing infrastructure and project management respectively.
