Alstom will supply wind turbines to Hartelkanaal wind farm in the Netherlands

Alstom has signed two contracts¹ totalling around 30 million with Investment Engineering, a renewable energy developer in the Netherlands, for the delivery, installation and commissioning of ECO 110 wind turbines at the Hartelkanaal wind farm - located in the Port of Rotterdam. Alstom will also provide 15 years Operation and Maintenance service. This wind farm will have an installed capacity of 24 MW, due to its location this amount of power can bring electricity to more than 20,000 households.

The Alstom ECO 110 wind turbine has one of the largest rotors available for class II sites (medium speed wind) to maximize the energy yield of the wind farm.  Alstom turbines use the unique Alstom Pure Torque drive train concept that protects the gearbox. The ECO 110 is part of Alstoms proven ECO 100 platform, the result of more than 30 years of experience in wind turbine design.  Alstom has installed or is installing more than 2500 wind turbines, delivering more than 4,000 MW of power from over 150 different wind farms.

¹ The contracts have been booked during the third quarter of fiscal year 2013/2014.
