A fruitful participation in the World Future Energy Summit in Abu Dhabi

Alstom returned at the World Future Energy Summit (WFES), from the 20th to the 22nd of January, to present its innovative solutions for addressing global needs for power generation.

Dedicated to renewable energies, energy efficiency and clean technologies, this event is very much aligned with Alstom Power offering based on a deep understanding of our customers’ needs.

From solar to wind power solutions, from gas to nuclear power generation, Alstom delivers high-quality solutions enabling our customers to meet the challenges of energy sustainability. Alstom also is ground-breaker in Smart Grid and Super Grid technologies, with various projects in the Middle East, and offers renewable power integration solutions. 

Alstom teams made many productive contacts on our booth and received official representatives of several countries, including the Iceland President, the Ethiopia Prime Minister as well as the Azerbaijan Minister. The French Minister of External Trade, Nicole Bricq, showed an interest in Alstom wind solutions. Sylvain Hijazi (Country President United Arab Emirates) and Alexis de Beaumont (General Manager Middle East & Africa, Alstom Wind) presented her further details.

Alstom representatives also had the opportunity to speak at WFES conference: Dr. Lawrence E. Jones, Vice President Utility Innovations & Infrastructure Resilience (Alstom Grid), presented how Alstom Grid’s technologies enable renewable integration and Smarter Grids. Alexis de Beaumont, General Manager Middle East & Africa (Alstom Wind), demonstrated our solutions to surpass the next frontiers for wind energy.

In addition, Alstom’s representatives took part in stimulating side conferences. Loic Douillet, Vice President Marketing, Alstom Power participated in a discussion of the interaction of water and energy. 

To finish, as part of the French side events during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week:  

• Ghislain Nicolas, Strategy Promotion & Business Development Manager for Renewable Steam Plants, presented our solutions towards both the development of geothermal resource and solar storage solutions; 
• Dr. Lawrence E. Jones demonstrated Alstom Grid involvement towards an integrated approach for sustainable cities.
