Alstom awarded a contract by Fortum for upgrading turbines and a generator at Järpströmmen hydroelectric power station

Alstom was awarded a contract in Sweden for the upgrade of two turbines and one generator at the Järpströmmen hydroelectric power station in Indalsälven, Jämtland, on behalf of Fortum. The power plant has a total of 114 MW installed capacity and an annual production of 415 GWh, which corresponds to the average annual electricity consumption of 21,000 Swedish houses.
