Alstom donates 25,000 to the German Red Cross

After the devastating flood in June earlier this year, many victims now have to deal with the aftermath of this natural disaster. Following on from its active involvement at the time, the Kreisverband Östliche Altmark e.V. of the German Red Cross (DRK) is now also making a considerable contribution to follow-up care and is coordinating the reconstruction work through various aid organisations in the Elbe-Havel region in the Stendal District. Alstom is sending aid for reconstruction work to those affected by the flood in the form of a 25,000 donation to the German Red Cross.

"I wish to thank the numerous Alstom employees who responded to our call and donated money for the people affected in Stendal. The Managing Board of Alstom Deutschland AG matched the total amount of money received, and the Management of Alstom Lokomotive Service GmbH in turn matched that amount, so that I can now happily hand over a cheque for 25,000 to the German Red Cross for the reconstruction work," said Alf Henryk Wulf, CEO of Alstom Deutschland AG.
