Joachim Gessner new Finance Director Germany

Effective from 1st August 2013, Joachim Gessner (45) has been nominated at the Supervisory Board meeting on 25 July 2013, as Alstom Germany Country Finance Director.
Joachim Gessner has been with Areva, then Alstom Grid for more than 12 years. He has developed his experience in a number of operational Finance roles in an international environment based in Germany and in France. For the time being, Gessner also is Vice President Finance for Alstom Grid in CEER and managing director of the German Grid entities. This dual responsibility will remain in place for a transition period until Joachims permanent successor in his Grid role is appointed, after which he will assume the full Country Finance Director scope. He will then be based in Frankfurt and Mannheim.
