Alstom took part in the Transcaspian exhibition in Azerbaidjan

Alstom showcased its Transport solutions at the 12th International Transport, Transit and Logistics Exhibition, TransCaspian 2013, organized in Baku Expo Centre (Azerbaidjan) from 13th to 15th June.
Azerbaijan is located at the crossroad between Europe and Central Asia, the Middle and the Far East. This is why for 12th year in a row the TransCaspian Exhibition is the meeting point for all kind of transport related companies and currently considered as the only transportation exhibition in the South Caucasus. Alstom took part in Transcaspian for the third time, always with its Russian partner for signalling projects "Promelectronika" company.
Deputy Minister for Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan Musa Panahov together with VIP guests and mass media representatives visited our booth. Alexey Patsko, Business Development Director of Alstom Transport in Azarbaidjan, explained to the Azerbaijanian officials and media the Alstom strategy in the region and presented our products and solutions (locomotives, tramways and metro trains).
Among the projects that Alstom showcased at the exhibition, was the electric locomotive KZ8 ordered by Kazakhstan Railways. This one of the most powerful locomotives in the world should be soon introduced in Azerbaijan as AZ8 to contribute to the intensive modernization of the railways in the country.
