Fortum's new waste-fired unit Brista2 is deployed

In 2010 , Fortum decided to invest in the construction and operation of a new waste fired unit for its power plant in Brista, Sweden. The new production unit , Brista2, has now been deployed as planned. On Friday the facility was inaugurated in the presence of the Environment Minister Lena Ek.

- The deployment of Birsta2 brings Fortum one step closer to the goal to significantly reduce their plants impact on the environment. We are very happy for the good cooperation during the project, says Mats Thimanson Site Manager at Alstom in Växjö.
