19-25 August 2012, halls: Meeting (h)earth - D3 and work in progress - D5, Rimini Fiera

Alstom will attend the 2012 edition of the Meeting for friendship among people in Rimini (Rimini Fiera, 19th-25th August 2012). At the Alstom interactive stand, located in the Meeting (h)earth area, dedicated to environment, visitors will enjoy a virtual tour of Alstom City and discover its innovative and sustainable solutions for energy and transport needs, such as the first wireless tramway and the largest offshore wind turbine in the world, or high-speed trains and smart-cities.

For those kids and adults eager to know how trains, power plants and electrical grids work, educational activities will be organized every day at Alstom stand and at the Arena. Expert staff will reveal the secrets of the most advanced technologies for energy and rail transport.

Program of activities offered each day, from Monday 20 to Friday, August 24:

  • 2.00 PM - Alstom stand: The journey by train: what a technological adventure!
  • 3.00 PM - Alstom stand: Water, sun, oceans ... a world of energy!
  • 4.00 PM- Alstom stand: Super Grid is a superhero? Are all people nice in a Smart City? Let's find out together.
  • 6.00 PM - Arena: How to build an environmental friendly train?

A touch-screen located in the Work in progress area, will disclose to rail enthusiasts videos, images and details of Alstom trains like the Pendolino, the AGV, regional trains and metros.

Antonino Turicchi, Country President of Alstom Italy, will alsotake part in the roundtable: "Environment: from exploitation to protection" (Monday, August 20th, 3.00 PM), chaired by Corrrado Clini, Italian Ministry of Environment.
