José-Antonio Rodríguez has been appointed Vice President Human Resources for South Europe, Middle East and North Africa for Alstom Transport. He will take on this new position in addition to his current role as Country Human Resources Director for Spain.

José-Antonio Rodríguez joined the Alstom Group in January 2012 as Human Resources Director Spain and Portugal for the Transport division and later took on the position as Corporate Director of Human Resources Alstom Spain.

Having begun his career in Banco Pastor, thereafter between 1997 and 2009, which is when he joined Alstom Group, José-Antonio Rodríguez worked for the American multinational DuPont de Nemours where he took on various management positions: Director for the Central European region for HR Shared Services, HR Director for the unit Performance Coatings located in Paris, and HR Director of Solae (joint venture between DuPont and Bungee), based in Geneva.

Born in Asturias and now 44 years old, José-Antonio Rodríguez has a degree in Economics and Business Studies from Universidad CEU San Pablo and is an expert in designing organisations and efficiency improvements for processes.
