Silver Award for recycling awarded to Transport UK

In 2011, the Transport site at Oxley in the UK was successful in achieving a Silver Award from the National Recycling Stars scheme for reducing the amount of waste going to landfill from 293 tonnes per annum to zero. Now the Transport business have received a Silver Award for waste recycling across all UK sites.

Collective recycling figures for Transport UK have risen over the last 12 months, from 68% to 83%, and overall waste production has been reduced by 18%. For the forthcoming 12 months, the target is to achieve zero waste to landfill across all sites.
