Nils Lannefors appointed new Country President

On the 16th of May 2012 Nils Lannefors takes over the position as Country President for Alstom Sweden. Nils have 20 years of experience within ABB/Alstom, of which 7 years in Switzerland for ABB. Nils holds a long experience within most activities within the Power generation sectors of Alstom. In 2005 he was appointed Market Director Power Sales for Nordic & Baltic Countries, a position he has held up to the present.

The priority now is to further strengthen Alstom in Sweden as a world leading infrastructure company offering sustainable solutions within the areas of power distribution & Transmission and transportation, says Nils Lannefors, Country President Alstom Sweden.
- Few are aware of the fact that Alstom have delivered key components to 75 % of the assembled power production in Sweden and that Alstom is growing in terms of deliveries of power transmission systems and regional trains in Sweden, Nils clarifies.
In parallel to the role as Country President Nils will keep his current position as Market Director for Alstoms Power generation sectors for the Nordic & Baltic Countries.
- The Swedish infrastructure market is solid and haven´t been significantly affected by the European Euro crisis. In this context Alstom has great potential to strengthen its position in Sweden as a supplier of sustainable infrastructure solutions, Nils concludes.
