Shipped from the Alstom plant in La Rochelle several days earlier, the first of the 22 Citadis tramsets ordered by the city of Le Havre in July 2010 has just been delivered in the presence of Edouard Philippe, President of the Le Havre conurbation (CODAH). The tram will participate in the first tests on the tramway line scheduled to begin in March.

The line, which is 13 km long and has 23 stations, will complement the conurbation’s existing public transit network, linking Le Havre’s beach and town centre to the rest of the urban community. It is slated to begin operating on 12 December 2012.
