On 15 February 2012, Alstom Power Sp. z o.o. signed the contract with ZWSE Rzeszow Sp z o.o to supply the high-voltage gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) within the investment "Extension of Stalowa Wola substation by 220 kV switchgear.
The scope of the contract includes delivery of gas-insulated switchgear with SF6 220 kV in 3/2 circuit breaker arrangement , supervision of installation, necessary tests and participation in commisioning works. Switchgear installed on the output of power from Stalowa Wola Power Plant will significantly improve the reliability and safety of the national electricity system. Commissioning of the GIS switchgear in Stalowa Wola substation is planned for the third quarter of 2013.
The same type of switchgear has been installed in the Lagisza substation and will be delivered for two other projects which are being carried out by Alstom for PSE Operator SA - Abramowice and Otarzew.
