Alstom Power employees decorated for contribution to Polish electric power sector

During the celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Polish Chamber of Power Industry and Environmental Protection, several Alstom Power employees were awarded ministerial-level decorations. The decorations were awarded on the motion of the chamber in the Polish capital Warsaw on 8 November 2012. The Polish Chamber of Power Industry and Environmental Protection recommends for decoration persons who significantly contributed to the development of the Polish electric power sector.
The honorary decoration For Contribution to the Electric Power Industry was awarded by the Minister of Economy to Robert Butzke, Vice President Alstom Power in Poland as well as other Alstom Power employees in Poland.
The mentioned honorary decoration is a Polish civil decoration awarded on ministerial level and established under the regulation of the Council of Ministers of 2001 as an honourable and honorary distinction. "For Contribution to the Electric Power Industry" is awarded to persons employed in the power sector, members of trade and social associations as well as to other individuals for special achievements in the field of new technological solutions, research work and achievements in the power equipment production.
The Polish Chamber of Power Industry and Environmental Protection is a nationwide trade association and was founded in 1992. The chamber carries out extensive activities in the field of implementing common projects in power sector investments domestically and abroad and promotes state-of-the-art technique and technology in the field of natural environment protection as well as for renewable energy sources. Alstom Power has been a member of the chamber since it was founded 20 years ago.
