Antonio Moreno appointed President of Alstom Spain

As of 1st November, Antonio Moreno, Managing Director of Alstom Transport Spain & Portugal since 2010, is appointed President of Alstom Spain, replacing Pedro Sole. In parallel to his new role, Antonio Moreno will keep his current position in the transport sector. Pedro Sole, who has reached retirement age, is appointed Advisor to the President, an activity he will combine with his academic work.

The Groups main objective in Spain is to develop synergies between our different activities in the power generation, electrical grid and rail transport infrastructure markets to provide our customers with high added value products and services, turnkey projects & financial solutions to guarantee return on investment, said Antonio Moreno.

Antonio Moreno has been working in Alstom for 16 years. Antonio Moreno holds a graduate degree in law and economics. He began his professional career in 1994 in the Alcatel Group. In 1996 he joined Alstom Mexico as Logistics Director for Alstom Transports maintenance unit, later rising to Deputy Director General of Alstom Transport Mexico. In 2003, he was appointed Vice-President of the maintenance unit for USA and Canada and later went on to become global Senior Vice President of the maintenance business unit (Train Life Services) based in Paris.
