The cooperation
negotiations at ALSTOM Finland Oys Environmental Control Systems Unit that
started on 20.9.2007 have now ended. The decision has been made to close down
the operations of the ECS unit. According to the decision the sales,
engineering and project management of all new air pollution control equipment
will end in Finland
latest by 31.3.2008.

The
sales of new APC equipment for the Finnish customers will be taken care of by
other Alstom ECS units. New contact persons for the new sales are the Regional
Sales Manager Jari Heininen (Environmental Control Systems) and Country Sales
Director Asla Koskinen.

Part of the personnel at the Finnish ECS will either continue to work for
Alstom in other businesses or be part of a pension scheme, but unfortunately
part of the employment contracts are going to be terminated, between 1.12.2007
and 31.3.2008.

Despite the decision to close down the operations of the ECS unit ALSTOM
Finland Oy will fulfil all its contractual obligations towards its customers
and will take care of the on-going projects.

The cooperation negotiations and the decision to close down the Finnish ECS
unit concern only the Environmental Control Systems Unit, active with the
sales, engineering and project management of new flue gas cleaning equipment.
The maintenance and uppgrade services of all environmental equipment (air
pollution control equipment) as also all other activities of Alstom in Finland remain
the same.
