Railtex Exhibition, 14-16 June 2011

Alstom's 50-50 Joint venture company, Signalling Solutions, will present its rail control solutions at the Railtex exhibition at Earl's Court 14-16 June. 

With a focus on the UK rail traffic, management centre market, the company will launch Alstom's Iconis integrated control centre system. A working demonstration at Signalling Solutions' stand will show how Iconis provides information, supervision and control of an entire rail network, ensures safe and efficient operation and allows operators to track trains, optimise routes and platform allocation, automatically set routes and continuouisly monitor traffic.

In addition, Alstom's proven solution for ERTMS* (European Rail Traffic Management System), the Atlas range, will be a prominent feature for the stand. Atlas has to date supervised more than 26 million miles, is fitted on over 1100 trains and has clocked up more than 25 million hours of fleet operation.

Signalling Solutions will also demonstrate its modular signalling system; a new concept in conventional signalling delivery that incorporates Alstom's Smartlock technology, the next generation of powerful computer-based interlocking and the successor to Solida state Interlocking ( SSI).
