Since February, 18 Regio Citadis tram-trains manufactured at Reichshoffen in France are being delivered one by one, at a rhythm of one train per week, to the operator HTM Personenvervoer NV, in The Hague (Netherlands).
They complement the fleet of 54 trains already in service on the RandstadRail network, linking the city centres of The Hague, Zoetermeer and Rotterdam.
The delivery of the additional Regio Citadis trains follows the exercising of the options signed in November 2008.
The trains each consist of three cars and can carry up to 220 passengers. They can run on both urban and regional networks, at a speed of up to 80 km/h.
