Alstom's Rocklea Factory Reopens: Monday 17 January

UPDATE 15/01/2011 - Alstom's Queensland based Rocklea transformer factory will reopen on Monday 17 January, having successfully reconnected vital infrastructure such as electricity and IT.

All units will return to work as normal on Monday morning 

14/01/2011 - Queensland Floods: Alstom Rocklea Factory & Murrarie offices  

Alstom is pleased to confirm that all employees at our Transformer Factory in Rocklea are safe and that the facility avoided any direct impact by the flood waters. Alstom's offices and employees in Murrarie also avoided direct impact by the floods.  

Some employees' homes have been affected by the floods and Alstom is making every effort to support them. 

All Alstom employees at the Rocklea site should check this website on Sunday, 16 January afternoon for confirmation that the factory will be open again on Monday 17 January.  

Information about Alstom's support activities and donations will be made available over the course of the coming weeks.
