On 18th September, ten employees from the Steam Turbine Retrofits Project Management team in Rugby completed a 23-mile charity walk around Rutland Water in Leicestershire, raising a brilliant £3,570 in sponsorship money for Cancer Research UK.

The early start on the day meant all who took part, plus team support, benefited from the best weather for some time.  This helped make the marathon walk all the more bearable even though several participants suffered blisters, aches and pains by the end of the day.

Walkers gathered sponsorship from friends, family and colleagues and were proud to present a cheque for the total funds raised to Sarah Reynolds, local Cancer Research volunteer, on Tuesday 12th October.
