Antonio Oporto is leaving his position as President of Alstom Spain

Antonio Oporto, President of Alstom Spain since 1999, is leaving the presidency of Alstom in order to initiate a new professional project.

Antonio Oporto has been the top executive of Alstom Spain for 11 years and has formed part of Alstom´s top global management since 2005 with responsibilities in Latin America and more recently in Africa and the Middle East. During the period of his presidency, During his times as President of Alstom Spain, the company diversified it´s presence in all sectors, multiplying sales by five and doubling the number of employees.

Alstom will announce within the next weeks the name of Antonio Oporto´s successor. The daily operation of Alstom Spain will be guaranteed by the Managing Directors of each company sector, who will take on temporarily the presidency of each of the management boards until the new president is nominated. Antonio Oporto will provide his full support during this transition period.
