Alstom Influences Global Energy Debate at WEC 2010

Alstom senior executives, led by Group Chairman and CEO Patrick Kron, recently traveled to Montreal, Canada for the 2010 Congress of the World Energy Council. During meetings with key stakeholders, customers and policy makers, Alstoms delegation emphasized the groups strategy for addressing the global energy challenge, which involves a balanced portfolio of power generation technology, increasing the efficiency of existing plants, and the deployment of Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology. During the Congress, Pierre Gauthier, Alstom President for the U.S. and Canada, spoke to CNBCs Sharon Epperson about this strategy, and its role in the WEC discussions.
