Effective from 1 September 2010, Dominique Pouliquen is appointed Country President, China in addition to his current position as SVP Asia-Pacific Region, Transport. In his new role as China President, Dominique has responsibility to oversee Transport, Power and Grid business in China. He is now based in Beijing, China.

Born in 1960, Dominique Pouliquen gained a master in Economy at Paris University in 1981, and graduated from the Institute of Politic Studies in Paris the following year.

After a one year career start in the banking sector as a financial analyst, he became consultant for six years, specialised in productivity improvement, quality management and manufacturing software for large international industrial companies.  Thereafter he joined the Information Technology sector in 1989, where he occupied various business development and sales management positions. 

Dominique joined Alstom Transport in 1996 as Project Manager. He is responsible for developing and implementing the Transport Sales and Marketing Information Systems. He then pursued his career development in Transport as Marketing Director, followed-up Regional Director for Asia in the Service Segment. In 2001, he was promoted to head the Product and Strategy as Senior Vice President and was nominated to be part of the Transport Management Committee. Successfully carved significant milestones in Alstom Transport, Dominique was sought to head the Train Life Services Unit in 2005 where he had successfully grew the business by 43 percent in maintenance, service and parts.
