Around 250 guests joined Patrick Kron and Philippe Joubert at the official inauguration on July 1 of the new energy efficient offices in Massy, France, which are home to 650 Power employees and the headquarters of the newly named Power Automation & Controls.

Guests were given a guided tour of the building, which explained some of the innovative technologies that are developed in Massy.

The Power Automation & Controls Business provides utilities and power industries with comprehensive suites of control solutions for turbines and generators, the power plant and fleets of power plants, including thermal, nuclear, hydro and renewable plants.

The Massy building is part of an experiment looking into and planning for the future of power generation, where buildings will produce and monitor their own renewable energy sources.

Reinforcing the technology themes of the day was a round table from Alstom, Bouygues and Microsoft on the IT issues surrounding managing intelligent energy systems, showcasing our energy management expertise in both the Power and Grid Sectors.
