On 22 June, a delegation of 18 people from Endesa Energía visited our facilities in San Fernando de Henares. Endesa Energía is responsible for energy supply to large consumers and its interest is focused on equipment with a voltage level of up to 45 kV, that is, medium voltage equipment, mainly secondary voltage equipment. Areva T&D1 has recently manufactured two measurement centres: one for 24 kV (according to the regulations of Sevillana Endesa) and another for 36 kV (according to the regulations of Fecsa Endesa). The visitors were invited to the showroom, where there is a wide range of medium and high voltage products on display. During the visit there was a presentation of our Primary and Secondary voltage products by the Sales Managers of both units. There was also talk on their safety and behaviour in the transformation centres, and the event was finally closed with a talk on MIE-RAT. Those attending the event obtained important technical information and got to know the medium voltage products manufactured and sold by Areva T&D in situ. 1 On 8 June 2010, Alstom introduced its new sector, Alstom Grid, after its acquisition of the transmission and power electronics activities of Areva T&D.
