Tisseo (a private-public partnership operating public
transport in the Toulouse area) and SMAT (the Toulouse metro
company) made a 3.5 km test zone available, running between the
“Garossos-Aeroconstellation” and
“Patinoire-Barradels” stations. The dynamic tests
will progressively extend to two other test zones and are
planned to end in October.

The Citadis tramsets have already undergone static tests
(validating the tramway’s various functions: traction, door
aperture and closure, safety systems) and covered over 150 km on
a test track as far as the “Andromede-Lycee” station.

About Line T1

The Citadis tramsets will run on Line T1, which will link
Toulouse, Blagnac and Beauzelle. Alstom - as the representative
of the consortium that includes Eurovia Travaux Ferroviaires
(ETF) and Egenie - was selected in January 2008 to build Line
T1’s 10.9 km and the track serving the maintenance
centre.
