The result was 200 metres of rails laid on the
first day instead of the 80 metres initially planned.

How it works: A machine pours a concrete slab
following a predetermined track alignment. A second machine, a
few metres behind, inserts the baseplates (rail fixation systems)
in the fresh concrete. The rail is then laid using mechanical
diggers.

This technology has already proven itself on the Algiers,
Jerusalem and Reims tramways projects. This procedure means
tracks laying is five times faster than traditional methods with
a very high degree of precision.
