At Orleans, the exterior design and interior layout of the
first Citadis tramway train set for the future line B, revealed
end February, are jointly signed by Olivier Echaudemaison,
Artistic Director at Guerlain, and the Alstom Transport
Design&Styling department. Its livery in Loire
sand colours is edged with deckchairs on the
banks of the Loire canework. After a series of tests,
this first train set will enter into service in September 2010
on the existing line (line A) until line B is in operation.

The designer and couturier Christian Lacroix visited the Alstom
site at La Rochelle on 24 February to see the mould of the
front of the Citadis tramway which he has designed for line 3
in Montpellier. With an interior and exterior décor in
sparkling colours that recalls a sea bed motif, the 23 train
sets ordered will circulate in the streets of Montpellier from
2012.

No less colourful, the front of the Citadis for Reims, for
which the first train set has been presented to the general
public in the square in front of Reims cathedral on 26 March,
recalls the form of a champagne flute glass. Like richly
coloured pearls on a necklace, the 18 tramways will have 10
different shades (yellow, orange, red, violet, pink, cyan blue,
turquoise blue, green and anise green).
