Outstanding safety performance at Enfield Power Station helps local charity

In August, our Boiler Field Service team at Enfield Power Station won five separate safety awards.  The team were then put forward for the Thermal Services' Reward and Recognition Scheme for their outstanding work with respect to safety performance during the Triple 'C' Inspection at Enfield during July and August, for which they were awarded £150.  Instead of accepting the money personally, the team decided to donate to a local charity.

On 29th September, John Mortimore, Alstom Site Manager and Dan Eastman, E.ON Lead Team Member for Balance of Plant and Mechanical Maintenance, presented a cheque to Donna Wells of Demelza House Children's Hospice.  E.ON kindly agreed to match any donations made by Alstom, and so another £150 joined the total sum, making a donation of £300 for the charity.
