The tram’s exterior design and interior fittings are
the result of joint efforts by the design teams of Alstom
Transport and Airbus. The aerodynamic lines of the tram’s
nose in fact bring to mind the links between the Toulouse
region and the aerospace industry.
The contract entered into in April 2006 provides for the supply
of 24 Citadis tram carriages and their maintenance over a
five-year period. Deliveries of the trams will continue until
2010. These Citadis trams will be operated on a line with 18
stations which will link Toulouse, Blagnac and Beauzelle.
