This was the last stage of Ennouasser-Jorf Lasfar line
signalling system modernisation project.

The ONCF entrusted the renovation of the lines
signalling system to Alstom in 2006. The Ennouasser-Jorf Lasfar
line is 100 km long and has seven stations. The 20.5 millions
euros contract covered the design, supply, installation,
testing and commissioning of the signalling equipment. Alstom
contributes to the improved safety, reliability and comfort of
the line that can be operated in both directions now, thanks to
automatic bright blocs with IPCS (Installations Permanentes de
ContreSens - Permanent bi-directional installations) and thanks
to computerized interlocking machines installed in 6 stations.
