Alstom Power Service makes big leap in The
Netherlands

Alstom Power Nederland B.V. acquired the
activities of the Repair & Maintenance department of De Maas
effective 1 March. As from that date 30 Field Service
professionals like coordinators, technicians and turbine
mechanics became part of the Alstom Power Service organisation
located in Barendrecht (Rotterdam, The Netherlands). There has
already been a successful cooperation between Alstom and De Maas
in the past, with De Maas as a well-known field service company
working on rotating equipment for both Dutch utilities and
industry customers. The new integrated setup stimulates
efficiency and establishes a team being active also outside The
Netherlands as part of the international Field Service Network in
Power Service.

Alstom Power Service performs large overhauls
and repairs for all major Dutch power stations. As part of Power
Services growth strategy, possibilities to increase market
share are being realised for example by doing overhauls and
maintenance not only on Alstom machines, but also on those
delivered by other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).
