Christine Bénard, 41, is appointed Vice
President, Head of Strategy, Alstom, replacing Stéphane Le
Corre who is taking a new position within Alstoms Power
Service sector. Christine Bénard, reporting to Patrick Kron,
Chairman and CEO of Alstom, will also be responsible for
non-production sourcing. Previously, she was Director within the
automotive division of Oliver Wyman.
Born in 1967, Christine Bénard graduated
from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales de Paris businees
school (HEC).In 1989 she became a consultant with Mercer
consulting firm, then a principal, responsible for the purchasing
practice. In 1996, she joined Valeo (automotive supplier) where
she was successively Purchasing Director of the security systems
branch (1997-1998), Group Vice President, Purchasing, member of
the management committee (1999-2002), before being appointed
Managing Director, Valeo climate control division for
south-western Europe. In 2006, she was nominated Director within
the automotive division of Oliver Wyman consulting firm in
Paris.
