The implementation of this contract, intended for the D line
of Buenos Aires metro network, had started in 2004. The cars
were built in Alstom Transport's Brazilian manufacturing site
in Lapa. Interior fittings, electronic systems and static tests
were carried out in La Plata’s site, in Argentina.

On the latest built cars, a 6th car was added to increase the
train capacity. These trains are equipped with the latest
Alstom technological (ONIXTM traction systems, speed control
systems) and comfort (passengers’ information system, air
conditioning, ergonomic seats and four doors per car to ease
the passengers' flow at peak hours) standards, and may carry up
to 1020 passengers.
