Alstom recognized at the 2009 Imagina Awards for the film
AGV

The film AGV was one of 11 other projects chosen by an
independent jury composed of professionals and experts who were
asked to select the most outstanding creations. Four categories
were open to competition: Media & Entertainment,
Architecture & Urbanism, Landscape & Territory, and
lndustry.

First screened on 5 February 2008 when the AGV was unveiled to
500 journalists and rail operator representatives from all over
the world, the film presents the technological innovations and
unique characteristics that make it possible for the train to
operate at 360 km/h, such as distributed power, articulated
trainsets and an original aerodynamic design. It also
demonstrates that it is the first very high-speed train
entirely designed by Alstom Transport. Combining video footage
with computer-generated images, the film also presents the
digital techniques Alstom Transports Design &
Styling team used in designing the train.

The AGV is Alstoms fourth-generation very high-speed
train. With several key components, such as motorized bogies
and the traction system, the train smashed the rail speed
record when it reached 574.8 km/h on 3 April 2007.
