Alstom wins extension of long term service agreement at Narva Power Plants in Estonia

Alstom Power has signed
an extension of a long term service agreement with AS Eesti Energia Narva
Elektrijaamad for the maintenance of the Narva Power Plants power generation
complex in Estonia.
Narva Power Plants has an installed electric capacity of 2,380 MW and is
responsible for almost 95% of the Estonian electricity production. The previous
long term service agreements were for the period 2000-2009. The duration of the
new contract is 27 months, starting in January 2010, and includes a
prolongation possibility for an additional 2 years.

The scope of the agreement includes scheduled and unscheduled repair,
general overhauls and forced outage services for four FosterWheeler 115MW CFB
(Circulating Fluidised Bed) boilers, 16 Taganrog
100MW PC (Pulverised Combustion) boilers and ten 200MW LMZ turbines, as well as
for the Balance of Plant works for ten blocks.

This agreement to
prolong the maintenance of Narva Power Plants will further strengthen our long
co-operation with Eesti Energia and is proof of our technical capabilities to
provide value-added service for the customer

Tallinn in the presence of the CEO of the Narva
power plants and CEO of Alstom in Estonia.


Alstom has also supplied dust removal systems, mainly electrostatic
precipitators to clean the flue gases of the boilers at Narva Power Plants.
Most recently, in March 2009 Alstom signed a contract for the delivery of
semi-dry desulphurization systems (DeSOx) for two 200MW blocks at the Eesti
power plant in Narva. The contract included an option for desulphurization
systems for another two 200MW blocks.
