Following the A 15 section, also located on the Betuweroute,
the Havenspoorlijn line is the second in the Netherlands to be
equipped with Atlas. In total, 110 locomotives equipped with
the Atlas onboard system, including 45 diesel and 65 electric
trains, are currently running on the Betuweroute.

Alstoms sites at Charleroi (Belgium) and Utrecht (The
Netherlands) took part in the Havenspoorlijn line project.

With the installation of Atlas on this line, Alstom
Transport shows its contribution to interoperability in
Europe, stated Roland Kientz, Alstom Transport Senior
Vice President for North Europe.

Present for over 20 years in the Netherlands through its three
sites at Ridderkerk, Utrecht and Rijswijk (The Hague), Alstom
is the leading supplier of signalling equipment in the
Netherlands. In addition to the Betuweroute, Alstom has also
equipped with Alstoms Level 2 Atlas ERTMS technology the
Belgian section of the L4 high speed line, linking Antwerp to
the Dutch border.

About ERTMS
Alstom Transport is the leader in the operational deployment of
interoperability in Europe. With over 740 trains and 25 million
