The new trams are distinguishable from the existing ones
with their revised front end featuring repositioned light
clusters. The wheel diameter has been increased by 20mm to
increase service life, and a forward-facing camera has been
fitted to provide the driver with greater security.

Extra Citadis trams will be delivered by 2010, as the RPA
(Railway Procurement Agency) exercised an option included in
the same contract for a further 8 trams. The total fleet size
in Dublin will then reach 66 trams.
