Alstom shareholders meeting approves share
split

In particular, it approved to split the nominal value of
Alstom shares by two. The split will take place on 7 July 2008,
after the payment of the dividend for fiscal year 2007/08 due
on 1 July 2008.
This split will make the acquisition of Alstom shares easier
for individual shareholders. The Alstom share price has
increased strongly over the last three years and is now one of
the highest on the Paris stock markets CAC 40 index. The
split should also improve the liquidity in the trading of
Alstom shares.
